Who we are
We ask the questions others skip.
Caldum is being developed by DEI Thermal Solutions, a company specializing in energy challenges in general. Our team combines knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science, electrical engineering and systems design, with a shared focus on the seasonal gap between solar energy supply and heat demand.
That gap is a real and significant societal problem: in summer there is an energy surplus, in winter a shortfall. Caldum is our answer to that — a compact buffer that bridges heat from summer to winter.
OUR APPROACH
Most technical solutions start from what already exists: existing components, existing systems, existing market logic. These are combined in different variants. That order slows down innovation. We turn it around.
For us, everything starts with the question — not the offering. We usually start with a blank sheet and work from the core of the problem towards the best possible solution. Sometimes that means cleverly combining existing principles. Sometimes it means developing something new the market didn’t have yet.
CURRENT FOCUS
The thermal buffer
DEI Thermal Solutions is fully focused on the manufacturing, further development and market introduction of the seasonal thermal buffer Caldum. Caldum is the concrete expression of what we stand for: a real and significant societal problem — the seasonal gap between solar energy supply and heat demand — solved with a compact, scalable buffer.
APPROACH
From question to answer
01
Exploratory conversation
A no-obligation conversation to explore the situation: what is the building, what is the heat demand, what is already in place.
02
Quick scan
A short study (1–3 days) of what makes technical and economic sense. The result is a note with a recommendation.
03
Feasibility study or design
On an hourly rate, with an agreed scope: sizing, materials, integration and cost calculation.
04
Support during implementation
Optional, for those who want us to stay involved during realisation.
