Caldum is ready to take its next step: from validated technology to installation in real buildings. We are looking for a small group of pilot partners willing to install one of the first systems and learn alongside us.

THREE PHASES
How a pilot installation proceeds
A pilot installation runs in three phases over six to nine months. We invest in a focused process so the partner can take a clear decision at each step.
PHASE 1
Exploration and feasibility
A no-obligation conversation followed by a feasibility study tailored to your building or project.

PHASE 2
Design and engineering
Once the proposal is approved, we move to detailed design, building integration and the formal partnership agreement.

Installation and commissioning
Installation runs in 3–6 months. We commission the system, monitor performance and share lessons across all pilots.

INVESTMENT
What it costs and what it returns
A pilot installation requires investment from both sides. We carry the development risk and provide engineering support. The partner provides the location, integrates the system, and accepts being among the first.
In return, the pilot partner pays a fraction of what a market-priced system will cost, locks in a guaranteed reduction of the energy bill, and contributes directly to the rollout of a Dutch innovation.
Co-funding through national or EU schemes
Depending on your country and project profile, national subsidy programmes or EU funding schemes may cover a significant share of the investment in pilot innovation projects. We help identify applicable schemes and support the application where possible.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for partners with the building, the ambition and the willingness to be early. Four profiles fit particularly well.
Housing corporations & municipalities
Apartment complexes or social housing blocks with a planned energy renovation — and municipalities looking for neighbourhood-scale solutions without fossil dependence.
Construction companies
Builders integrating heat storage in new developments or large renovation projects. Caldum complements heat pump systems and grid-tied installations.
Industrial parties
Process heat applications up to 450°C, greenhouse climate control, or other heat demands with variable profiles.
Private parties
Private owners or investors with larger heat storage projects outside institutional frameworks.
